The Telecom Resource Planning Tool (Trpt) is an integrated GIS based software application that integrates GIS and GUI based application development technology based on Microsoft platform. Interface facilitates data storage, acquisition and management and assists multiple query & report generation through customized knowledge module.

Telecom Resource Planning Tool (Trpt) is capable of providing assistance in identifying the best options for actions and investments in the target rural/urban/municipalities, defining the priority areas in each of the selected rural/urban/municipalities and promoting the optimization of planning (engineering, marketing and sales), with a view to promote the improvement of results in each area, increasing competitiveness in relation to existing operators and decreasing costs.

The tool combines high resolution digital map data with multiple information layers in an IT enabled framework customized to meet client requirements. Trpt can work as stand-alone radio network planning application or as a multi-user system for editing/viewing data on RDBMS (Oracle, MS SQL Server and Generic GIS database).The scaleable and configurable data model allows for the modeling of various network architectures: point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, point-to area or multi-service. Open database architecture ensures easy integration with standard-based legacy systems. Application support generic GIS database inform of both raster and vector format. Vector data can be stored in point; line and polygon feature and raster data can be stored in both grid and image format.
