Over the past few decades, environmental and social issues have begun to increasingly occupy the center stage of international and national developmental agenda:

(a)	Governments, Businesses and Communities are now being subject to a host of international and domestic protocols and conventions; these protocols and conventions determine compliance, competitiveness and the ability to sustain a whole range of activities
(b)	Over the next few years, a number of protocols and conventions (both existing and new) are expected to come into effect; while impacting all sectors and segments of the economy, they are also providing unique economic and geo-political opportunities
(c)	Environmental and social consciousness is also resulting in a growing requirement for greening (products, services and processes), environmental investments, and governance

As a corollary, all stakeholders will require to rapidly assimilate the implications of the foregoing and evolve effective and dynamic responses. Failure to do so would result in lost opportunities, higher costs, and at its worst, in the closure of businesses and/or of activities.

With the above in mind, Ecosmart India Ltd. has been established as a consulting house with a philosophy based on the premise that development in the future has to be smart enough to strike a judicious balance between economics and ecology.
