Project Description:: The project mandate is for the provision of Macro level GIS based information for Chamoli district in general, and three blocks in specific.

The primary activity was the creation of a High resolution micro level GIS database for the three identified blocks. The database incorporates information regarding the Land use and Land cover at the block level, infrastructure information like roads and railways, administrative information at village level, terrain Information, major tourist locations and other landmarks. Potential Agriculture pockets, Pasture land, Potential tourist locations and available land for developmental activity were identified.
