Project Description:Coastal Gujarat Power Limited (CGPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Power is setting up a 4000 MW supercritical coal based power plant near village Tunda, Taluka Mundra in Kutch District, in the state of Gujarat, India. The project area is located approximately 150 m from the Gulf of Kutch.
The proposed power plant proposes to acquire 1054 Ha of land which includes 241 Ha of land for disposal of ash, 182 Ha of land for colony and 202 Ha of area for project facilities like the Merry Go Round (MGR) Rail link and the water channel.
