Project Description:Nanded is one of the important urban centres within the Marathawada Region of Maharashtra. The city is also a pilgrim Centre due to the presence of the Huzursahib Sachkhand Gurudwara which has been built in the memory of Shri Gurugobind Singhji - the last living Guru of the Sikhs. The city is undergoing improvement to gear up for the Gur-ta-Gaddi tercentenary celebration to be held in 2008. IL&FS is the programme manager for the various improvements that are proposed to be carried out under the JNNURM programme. The redevelopment of Hazursahib Sachkhand Gurudwara is one of the improvements.

IL&FS Ecosmart was assigned the task of preparation of a Resettlement Action Plan and R&R Site master Plan for about 460 households getting affected due to Sachkhand Hazur Sahib Gurudwara Redevelopment.
 
The consultancy services covered:

• Extensive socio-economic survey
• Public consultations with the stakeholders
• Database on project affected households
• Formulation of resettlement Action Plan
• Stakeholder consultation for planning of resettlement site and planning of site infrastructure including water supply, sewerage network, drainage and connectivity.
• Preparation of Master Plan for resettlement colony and design of housing typologies
• Preparation of detailed project report for resettlement site infrastructure and housing
• Demarcation of roads and plots in the resettlement site
