Mr. Ravi Parthasarathy is the Chairman of Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services Ltd. (IL&FS), which is the largest Institution, involved in funding infrastructure industry and has pioneered successfully investment in several sectors. Mr. Ravi Parthasarathy holds a Bachelors degree in Science (B.Sc) from Madras University and a Post graduate degree in management from IIM-Ahmedabad., He has a rich and varied experience in the infrastructure, banking and financial services sector for over three decades.

He is currently heading IL&FS as the Chairman and has been at the helm of affairs since the organization commenced operations in 1988. He has worked with 20th Century Finance Corporation Limited as its Executive Director. Prior to that he gained exposure to merchant banking as well as corporate banking functions at Citibank N.A.

Mr. Parthasarthy is on the board of several companies. In addition, he has been co-opted on various committees of the government and trade associations in relation to development of new structures in the financial sector, infrastructure and overall economic development. He is also a Member of the expert committee on infrastructure, constituted by the Government of India.
